Are there bugs that burrow under dog skin that make em itch really bad?

My dog ,Kallie, has been itching and itching and we found out she has fleas. We treated her and fleas are gone! But now...she's itching again...but there are no fleas...She has these patches of dry skin with little blood mounds in the middle...What could they be???
