How was the labor movement of the late 19th century affected by the homestead lockout and strike?

Discuss the ideas of laissez-faire and social Darwinism and the rights of the laboring cles in your response. In what ways did this strike symbolize the growing labor strife of the Gilded Age? In your opinion, how different would labor relations in the 20th century be if the workers at Homestead won their strike in 1892?
