Doesnt socialism mean government run....?

The problem with socialism is it takes away the drive to succeed. If you have a roof over your head, food in your stomach and a car in your garage, you have no need to push forward and do anything on your own. You become stagnant. And another problem comes from "Who pays for all these projects?" Well, the people who are working of course. Higher taxes push people to go to unemployment for the greater benefit which pushes taxes higher.
