I need a laptop for school but I need it for my portfolio to convert my sketches into digital format? HELP!!!!?

I am applying for Parsons; The new school for Design and i am submitting my Portfolio for admissions for next years terms.... the tuition is $33,700 and I am a multiracial young woman living in Harlem New york city with my grandmothers and trying to pursue my life long dream which started at the fresh age of 7!!!! i have no job at the moment because no one is hiring and it has been extremely difficult for me, I even tried to seek employment at McDonald's but they took a glance at me and because i didn't look like one of the girls in the back they told me they were not hiring but they hires 4 girls the next week.... I am starting to get discouraged but I'm keeping my hopes up and not giving up.... i do dance competitions and hair and garment Couture construction from time to time and i also clean houses and things of that nature for money here and there!!!! I am saving up for a laptop for school to convert my designs that are on paper to digital format to put them on a slide show because as part of admission requirements all of my work has to be on digital format and has to be submitted as such!!! I have always wanted to be a fashion designer since the age of 7 when i saw my mother make a pair of high heeled suede shoes with faux jewels encrusted around the heel and I was in AWE!!!! I need to know what is the right laptop I need to convert my sketches into digital format!!!! please help, I need all the help I can get!!!!! be detailed, very informative and let me know exactly what it is that I need!!! thank you again in advance!!!!!
